The event marks the launch of the chair\u2019s new event series \u201cFilms on Migration\u201d, which will present a film on migration once per semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The film \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmkinotext.de\/media\/files\/Souleyman-Flyer-A5.pdf\">Souleymane\u2019s Story<\/a>\u201d (Original with English subtitles) by Boris Lojkine will be screened. It tells the story of a young man from Guinea. He has applied for asylum in France and now he is about to have his asylum hearing. As he does not have a passport, he works under harsh conditions as a bicycle courier in Paris in order to earn money for the urgently needed documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afterwards, a discussion will take place between Prof. Dr. Gra\u017cyna Baranowska and Arif Haidary of the Bayerischer Fl\u00fcchtlingsrat. They will talk about the situation in Germany, the conditions of the asylum procedure here, the upcoming changes under the CEAS reform, and how the current political climate affects independent advisory services.
