Isabel Kienzle
Short Bio
Isabel Kienzle is a research assistant at the chair for migration law and international human rights law with Prof. Dr Grażyna Baranowska. She studied law at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and completed additional training in International, European and Foreign Law. From 2019 to 2021, she was a legal clerk at Landgericht München I, working, among others, in a law firm specialising in migration law and for the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin. From 2022 to 2024, she worked for the Professorship of public law, migration law and international human rights law with Prof. Dr Anuscheh Farahat, LL.M (Berkeley).
Her research focuses on national and international migration law, the protection of human rights in the context of border regimes and the law of evidence before human rights institutions. Her PhD project has the working title “Evidence in International Human Rights Adjudication on Pushbacks”.
