What is your research focus?
I work at the intersection of international human rights and migration. My main areas of focus are disappeared persons, human rights violations at borders, and memory laws.
Why this topic/these topics?
I have always found the societal relevance of the topic and the many debates surrounding human rights and migration particularly compelling.
Your last position before joining FAU?
In recent years, I was at the Hertie School in Berlin, where I led a project at the Centre for Fundamental Rights on states’ international responsibility for missing migrants.
Where did you study, and which subjects?
I studied European Studies and Turkish in Poznań, and later completed a doctorate in law in Warsaw.
Your favorite place at FAU?
I am looking forward to discovering more places at FAU in the coming months. So far, I have felt very much at home at CHREN, and the Schlossgarten is beautiful.
